What a good one needs

a real event that happened to them (or that they witnessed firsthand), the turning point — the single moment where the story pivots, and where it landed — how it actually ended and how they feel about it now. Unresolved endings are allowed and real; a story does not need a neat conclusion to be tellable.

The interview

  1. 01

What happened? Tell it like you'd tell a friend.

Start anywhere. Don't worry about order, just get the story out.

  2. 02

What was the exact moment it turned?

The second everything changed, what you saw, heard, or realised. The more exact, the better.

  3. 03

How did it end, and how do you feel about it now?

Where things actually landed. If it's still unresolved, say that, that's a real ending too.

  4. 04 · optional

Anything else you want to add? More detail, another angle, anything you didn't get to?

Optional: Fill, if you've got more to say. Skip, if you don't.

How it works

  1. 01Answer the questions above, in the app, about the real thing.
  2. 02Postbarrel asks the follow-ups a sharp interviewer would, if an answer is thin.
  3. 03Read back a script built only from what you said, with delivery notes — then film it from the built-in teleprompter, or record right there.

Every line traces back to your answers. Postbarrel never invents an opinion, a claim or a story on your behalf, and it never makes the video — you show up and say it.
