Pets & animals: the questions to answer before you film

Postbarrel interviews you, then turns your answers into a script you read on camera. It never writes for you.

What a good one needs

real footage of their pet doing something (described concretely — the behaviour is the visual, the voiceover is the content), the pet's actual personality as the person knows it, and the one moment in the footage that sums the pet up. The script can run in the owner's voice (narrating) or the pet's voice (personified) — the person's wording usually signals which; personification must stay grounded in behaviour the pet actually does.

The interview

  1. 01

What's your pet doing in the footage, and who are they?

What you filmed (or will film), blow by blow, plus name, animal, and anything visible about them.

  2. 02

What's their personality, what makes them THEM?

The quirks, the habits, the vendettas, the routines, the character your pet actually is.

  3. 03

The one moment in the footage that sums them up?

The exact second, the look, the pause, the decision, the crime, that is just SO them.

  4. 04 · optional

Anything else you want to add? More detail, another angle, anything you didn't get to?

Optional: Fill, if you've got more to say. Skip, if you don't.

How it works

  1. 01Answer the questions above, in the app, about the real thing.
  2. 02Postbarrel asks the follow-ups a sharp interviewer would, if an answer is thin.
  3. 03Read back a script built only from what you said, with delivery notes — then film it from the built-in teleprompter, or record right there.

Every line traces back to your answers. Postbarrel never invents an opinion, a claim or a story on your behalf, and it never makes the video — you show up and say it.
